A week of spectacular weather, fishing, swimming, wildlife watching, great food and lots of R & R with our good friends Tracy and Robin. Our week begins in Mackinaw City with a dinner stop at Bell's Fishery for some fresh fish and fries and then its on to Drummond Island for our annual week in the U.P. Other meals for the week included sausage and potato boats, dutch oven lasagna and ham and scalloped potatoes, a trip to Esther's famous Mexican restaurant, fresh pan fish for two nights. We don't starve on vacation that's for sure. Other highlights included a trip to the Tee Pee for icecream, daily swimming at Harbor Island National Wildlife Refuge, rafting and sunning ourselves in front of the cabin, catching lots of large perch and rock bass, listening to and watching the sandhill crane family living on the property, seeing an American Bittern and basically doing what ever we wanted when we wanted. This was the best vacation we have had in years!
