To the Lake

Whirlwind trip to Huron. Fun day (nephew's soccer game, celebrating mothers day with Andrew's mom, New Sandusky Fish Market, Tofts, Barnes Nursery, checking out freighters on the Huron River, a trip to the farm, and digging poppies) but definitely ready for some shut eye.

Bee Happy

Taking up beekeeping again. It has been 20 years since I last kept bees. They were actually pretty nasty and I lost them the year that most of Ohio had a severe issue with mites.

The bees I ordered earlier this month were safely installed their new home this morningwith minimal loss. I did not get stung.  There are about 12,000 bees in this 3 lb package. They were very docile this morning because of the cool weather.  Have to admit that it was the cute little mini carved hive that I thought would look perfect in our little backyard park that got me interested in beekeeping again.

Easter

Had a nice Easter with my parents and brother. Laid back and relaxing. The weather was nice too.
