Dig

Whenever my co-workers (friends) and I go out to lunch at the Mexican restaurant we find money.  Today we each found money and some other items.  One of my friends remarked that we should quit our jobs and just support ourselves with the money we find. My other friend piped up and said. "yeah it would be about the same amount as we make at our jobs."  Just a little humor in a crumbling economy....

The free beer will probably do me more good than the nickle.

Sick...

The entire month of February someone at our house has had the plague-including the dog. I'm ready for spring.

As Good As It Gets

This pretty much sums up what we have been doing all winter. Pitiful huh?

Go Cards!

Our basketball coach is retiring after 40 years with the University. Last night the Athletic department and Alumni Association had a big reception for him before the last home game of the season. I covered the event as photographer for alumni relations and Andrew and I stayed on to watch the game-this time from the stands- for the first time in 12 years. It was a nice change from us working the ticket door as the event was free to the entire community this evening. I had a lot more fun sitting behind the scorekeepers table instead of wrangling everyone at the pass gate who tries to weedle their way in for free.  The guys won!  It was a fabulous, fast paced, on the edge of your seat game for the entire time.   We're on to the play-offs.  Coach is going to have to delay the start of his retirement for at least another game.  (-:

Snowflakes

It was 11 degrees and there were snow flurries today. These are the best type to photograph as when the air is very cold you can work with the individual flakes for a longer time before they start to melt.

SNOW!

Finally- a quantity of snow (albeit a small quantity but nonetheless)!  This winter has not been kind to those of us who like to cross country ski and take photographs of the white fluffy stuff.  In addition there has been illness at our house for two weeks and no one has felt like going out any how up until today.  Can you say going crazy in the indoors? We had to get out!!  Nothing like a fresh coat of snow and Clear Creek to revitalize one's psyche.  Never mind that it was 11 degrees with 25 mph gusts of wind. Not kidding.
