We picked about 120 pounds of pears in Kentucky last weekend. I brought home 30 # and our friends kept the rest to make wine. We got them canned today. Note to self-pears are time consuming to peel (because you can't blanch them in boiling water like you can some other fruits).

They look delicious! Pears ARE time consuming to can, but you will thank yourself this winter when you start eating them. The finished product looks picture perfect.
