Here Comes the Sun
Everyone was out enjoying the sunshine and mild temps today. This little guy was searching under a log for earthworms and happily cooperated in having his photo taken. His coloring is beautiful!
Several years ago a garter snake bit John when he tried to pick the critter up to relocate it out of harms way, into a nearby wooded area. John saw the snake just as he was getting the lawn mower out to cut the grass. JG was worried about accidentally running of the snake with the lawn mower. :- \ It was surprising how hard the snake bit. But then it was a much larger snake that this little guy.

Snakes are out already? I am so not looking forward to that.... lets hope they stay clear of the bunny barn and they shall be fine though.
It's an Eastern garter so no danger here as far as bunnies are concerned.

Oh for a glimpse of a snake...any kind of snake!!! It will be awhile for use yet.
