We Like Ice!

I don't mind the heat but I do worry about my rabbits.  Today was excruciatingly hot for them.  I gave them all ice in bowls or their cages.  They all loved it. Some of them ate it and some of them played in it and they all layed in or against it and seemed grateful for its presence.

And this is in the shade!
Angelica snuggled right up to her bowl
Evan Almighty wanted to lay in it

 Marcus is surrounded...

Big Norm is having a tough time and he has his own fan too.  I just poured it over him and I swear I heard him sigh in relief.

Angelica! I don't remember hearing of her, but she has a beautiful face - angelic indeed. Is she a Satin too?

Yes, at the "extreme' times of the year, I'm glad my ravbbits are inside with the A/C!!! (and heat in winter)

I gave the bunz frozen water bottles. Even if they don't snuggle with it the evaporation affect still helps to bring the temps down around them. Two of the girls are due Saturday...What were we thinking!!!! So I've brought them indoors into the a/c. I'm headed out to sprits their ears with chilled water.

Mine are hangin' in there. Vici - I've got a 3 week old litter, and 2 that are a week old. What were we thinking indeed? But the new kits are doing well. Everyone seems to just be lying quietly during the day, and in the morning and during the night, they eat and are more active.

I've been freezing gallon water jugs and liter bottles for the cages too- some of mine like them and some of them don't! :) Cute to see the 6 week old babies stretched out against it. We've not been quite as high as you, but have hit 90 with some high humidity. I'll have to try ice in bowls too!
