Wonderful pictures, as usual. I can't get over how friendly your wild rabbits are! Of course, my wild rabbits get chased by Sam so they're a lot more skiddish -- but that doesn't stop them from eating everything in sight. When the girls were little, I saw a project in a magazine that looked fun -- a bean plant teepee. You set up long sticks in a teepee shape and plant beans to grow up the sticks. Voila! An edible playhouse for the girls. I replanted those beans at LEAST three times and eventually gave up. No matter what I put on them -- hot pepper spray, human hair, predator urine -- the bunnies ate them just as soon as they leafed out. :( I think I'll pack mine up and send them to you, where they can be loved and appreciated.
It looks as though the goldfinches are starting to change color.I can never pinpoint exactly when the change occurs, one day they are bright yellow,& then abba-cadaba-they are changed their colors for the winter.phyllis
