Andrew's sister purchased a carder and a FeltLOOM brand machine for her fiber business. It's a pretty efficient set up and she has turned out some beautiful products already. Here are some photos of the process of turning fiber into a felted material and a link to her website.

The folks that sell that felting machine had the booth next to mine at the fiber festival here in May. (talk about feeling like a pipsqueak with my tiny space and their big one!) They demonstrated the process a lot, and it was pretty fascinating. I've only done felting in the washing machine. Yes, on purpose!
I didn't realize your sister had a fiber business. Maybe she would like to join us next year!?!
