Bunny Run

My friend Lisa and I decided at 8:30 on Sunday morning to make a bunny run to New York to pick up our our new does.  Man are we able to mobilize quickly. By noon I was in Akron meeting her for the ride to NY.  Our rabbits came from Derry, New Hampshire via New York in a series of exchanges among fellow rabbit friends.  They were suppose to end up in Ohio this past Saturday but due to a slight miscommunication they did not make their destination so we went to get them. In August when I saw their photo on FB I fell in love but figured there was no way I would be able to get one to Ohio. Thanks to Lisa, who arranged the whole caper we each got a Chestnut doe.  It was an enjoyable albeit wet drive to Mayville, New York, almost exactly 4 hours from my doorstep.  After retrieving the girls from Kim, who graciously agreed to oversee their journey and care from NH, we drove route 5 along the lake shore to ogle the fall colors and the lake and ended up at Dobbins Landing in Erie, Pennsylvania eating a delicious seafood dinner at Smugglers Cove right on the lake. My 11:30 pm arrival at home made this the latest outing I have been on in years. We had a blast. My throat was sore from laughing and talking so much. LOL

Kim's friendly little kitty who came out to investigate the commotion.
An yet another critter who came forth to say hello.

I am so glad I am not the only one who makes crazy bunny trips at the tip of a hat, or for any other critter LOL looks like you had a good time.

Oh wow you and Lisa are lucky to have each other to take off on a wild hare trip! Looks like it was a great road trip. The buns are lovely. And your rabbit building looks great and ready for winter. Are you coming to Wichita?
