Zena and Molly are the two rabbits we rescued from the park 3 weeks ago. Someone abandoned them; an almost sure guarantee that they would have been dinner for a coyote had some visitor not reported the incident. The injured one (left) was very sick with an infection from a probable attack by a dog as evidenced by her the terrible wound she had on her rump and a completely torn eyelid. (I thought she was going to die). She's almost healed. I'm still giving her penicillin injections daily and cleansed her wounds with Betadine and covered them with antibiotic ointment. She ate only Grimm's Golden apples for over a week refusing every other bit of food that I offered her including hay, bananas, kale and pellets. I think she was in a lot of pain. She is now has regained a hearty appetite and is back on a normal diet of Purina Show formula pelleted food. Both girls are very tolerant for what they have been through. They are not afraid of Daisy and she gave them lots of kisses and sat nice when I asked her to and smiled for a photo with them.
